Our Goal

Splish Splash I was taking a bath.....Oh never mind, I can't remember the words nor can I carry a tune anyways. However, I do think this tutorial will be very useful to those of us who absoltuely MUST have one more background. I know you're thinking I must be nutz....one more background....BUT, just wait until you see how easy this is....You will be nicely surprised.

This tutorial was inspired by Charlotte's Web Splash & Flexify tutorial. Charlotte's tutorial used a filter I do not have, and could not purchase at this time, but I looked it over anyway and began to playing with the VM Natural Splash filter. Visit her site for more excellent tutorials. Any resemblance of this tutorial to others is purely coincidental.

For this tutorial you will need:

JASC's PaintShop Pro-
VM Natural Splash
FM Tile Tools, Simple - Quick Tile or 20/20 to make the image seamless and
A image of your choice, I will be using this image:

This is a background image I obtained in the web, I do not remember where I found it. If you know of it's orgin, please let me know.

Lets Begin!

Whatever image you chose to use, make sure it is square, it is't not, rezies it. The image above is 250 x 250. I wouldn't go much smaller than that and not much larger than 300 x 300.

Go to Effects, Plugins, VM Natural, Splash

Set you Center Y and Center X to 125. Then play around with the other setting until the image pleases you. For my image here, I chose Frequency = 125, for Ray Length 1 and 2 I chose 75. This mixes the color into larger spots of one color.

This is what we have now:

Doesn't this look nice?

Now that you have your basic tile, use FM Tile Tools, Simple Quick Tile or 20/20 to make your tile seamless.
